As Nutrition Business Journal explored in our 2009 Raw Material & Ingredient Supply Report, adulterated ingredients are making their way into the U.S. dietary supplement market, and the problem is escalating—despite the rollout of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) good manufacturing practice (GMP) rules, which were designed to identify and eliminate problem or suspect dietary supplement ingredients.
