CRN Announces Keynote Speakers for The Conference
David W.K. Acheson, M.D., and Josephine P. Briggs, M.D., will deliver presentations during The Conference’s opening session of The Conference hosted by The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) on the morning of Friday, October 3.
Dr. Acheson serves as the associate commissioner for foods under the Office of the Commissioner at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Acheson’s presentation will focus on the agency’s efforts to protect the nation’s food supply in a global economic environment.
Dr. Briggs, the new director at the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), will outline her vision for NCCAM in the upcoming years and explore how the study of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) fits in the context of rigorous science.
Registration for The Conference is now open and available online. Prices for the event are $1695 for non-CRN members, with a $200 discount for CRN members. Special group activities—including the annual CRN golf tournament, a winery tour, and horseback riding—will be offered, and conference attendees and their guests are encouraged to book early as space will be limited. To register, visit www.crnusa.org/TheConference.
The Conference is being held at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa located approximately 31 miles/30 minutes outside of Albuquerque, on a secluded self-contained destination resort. Room reservations at the resort are available for a limited time at a special group rate of $299 per night by calling 1-800-233-1234—mention the CRN conference. This rate is currently available from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8.
